A Lil Bit Of My Personality, But Only A Lil Bit (Giggling)
The beauty of a woman is not in the way she wears her clothes, the way she looks with her makeup on, or the way she styles her hair. The true beauty of a woman can be seen in her eyes, as they are the doorway to her soul.
A Few Things of Interest About Me: I am 5'7", 114 lbs (I fluxuate between 109 and 115 lbs). I have long brown hair (when I can make it to the hairdresser-lol) and blue eyes. I turned 49 in November, 2003. (omg, I can't believe I just told you how old I am!)
HOWEVER, I am French/Italian/Irish and a double scorpio to boot, sooooo - it is in your best interest NOT to piss me off...lmaooooooooo Did I just said that out loud? oops
I truly love to cook, my former screen name was Cookinglady (DOH!). I enjoy creating dishes that bring pleasure not only to the palate, but to the eye as well. I am a HOPEFUL romantic who also loves fresh cut roses in my home (in every room if possible-lol). I adore my kitty Mina, (I used to have a champagne Golden Retriever named Teddy, but he passed away at 10 years and 10 mos.), and I enjoy any kind of tv show that requires figuring out "who done it", like Foresnic Files, I Detective, Investigative Reports, etc., and Court tv shows (I like to try and figure out the judge's rulings before they are annouced-this can be a challenge sometimes because the law in the litigants' state controls the rulings, and state laws differ from state to state) hmmm-lol.
My screen name says it all: LGLBGL2003...It stands for legal beagle, a nickname my former boss gave me because I was a Certified Paralegal for 26 years. But I am also known by many other nicknames given to me by my friends. I also enjoy NEW country & OLD soul music...ok, I can now hear you saying...."huh?"... go figure (heehee)
I have 181 buddies on my Buddy List - so IF you IM me, please be patient for a response from me, because I am usually in 2 or 3 IMs at the same time. I can multi-task, but I never said I could multi-task WELL!
I am a member of the AOL Chatroom called "Life-Multiple Sclerosis". It is a chatroom for people who have MS or know someone who does. I have had MS for 33 plus years, and any help that I can provide to a newcomer of this disease, whether it be information, emotional support, or friendship, it is my profound pleasure, honor and privilege to do so. MS can be a very confusing, ever-changing, and frustrating disease to live with daily, but just knowing that we are NOT alone; that we can usually understand what is going on (been there-done that) but PLEASE remember, we are NOT doctors; that there is information out there that can help us (knowledge is power); and that just having emotional support can bring tremendous comfort to someone who is suffering (even friends I have known for years, have good days and bad days, just like I do). It is my personal opinion that we are ALL connected, in one way or another, and by helping others, we actually help ourselves...it is truly better to give than to receive...and in the long run, we wind up receiving what we give (what goes around-comes around). Please just think about all of that for a minute.
I have MS, but MS does NOT have me! If you should ever be diagnosed with MS, please try to remember that it is not the end of the world for you. When I was diagnosed at the age of 22 (a LONG time ago ), I have and STILL DO, live my life each day to the fullest. This includes laughing (which I LOVE to do), crying, having hopes and dreams, and giving all the LOVE I have in my heart. You can look at your life as a tragedy & wallow in self-pity (oh boohoo, poor you!), or you can look at your life as an opportunity to triumph over challenges, become a better person (inside and out), see beyond yourself, and face each day that is given to you with the notion that you are not going to waste one minute of it, because TOMORROW has been promised to NO ONE. And be GRATEFUL for what you still have today, because tomorrow, it could all or partially be gone in a heartbeat. That last statement applies, whether you have MS or not. I look at heart of a person, not their physical attributes or financial status. What is in the heart and soul of a person never changes, and this is what is important to me. I have been hurt before (and probably will be again) when trying to be a friend to someone, but this will NOT deter me from reaching out to someone who is hurting, because I have gained SO much more (TRUE FRIENDS) than I could EVER lose. If anyone would like to discuss MS, discuss a MS therapy, or has questions about Tysabri (the MS medication/therapy I've been on more than two years)...., please feel free to e-mail me at LGLBGL2003 . If your question is about Tysabri, I would ask that you please reference the name "Tysabri" in the subject line of your e-mail so that it does not inadvertently gets sent to my spam folder & becomes deleted.
Remember the gifts that we have all been given: Faith, Hope and Love...and the greatest of these is LOVE. Don't give up on your faith (whatever that may be), LOVE comes to those that believe it, and THAT'S the way it is!
To All My Friends:
There is an understanding that friends develop, a relationship that shows we care; one of respect, patience and love.
Our todays are only stepping stones for our tomorrows.
And if I could give you the happiness and success that you deserve, it would last forever.
I wish you all that you desire, and all that is beautiful.
